Jyoti + Sonu :: Engagement

Jyoti + Sonu are superstars. Drumheller’s Hoodoos in 30+ degree heat feels more like 40 degrees, but Jyoti + Sonu worked through the heat & the scorching sun, looking fantastic the whole time. Luckily we stocked the car with bottles of water – it kept us all alive!

Thank you guys for taking the time out of your busy schedules to do get away for your engagement photos. We had a blast chatting with you guys & hearing about your growing businesses. Jyoti – your sari for the sunset images was the perfect choice! Thank you for toughing out the heat & light headedness.

Angela + Michael :: Poetic Experience

Angela + Michael are a very edgy couple who love different & unique work. After reading their bio and getting to know them, we knew we wanted to do something different for their engagement shoot. When Anthony saw Michael’s BB gun collection, he was in heaven & knew that the concept for the shoot would have to involve Michael’s awesome collection.

For Angela + Michael’s engagement shoot, their story focused on a day in the life of a female arms dealer; from operation prep to escape and happily ever after.

CiCi + Steve :: Engagement

CiCi + Steve are so cute! We caught up with them for dinner before their engagement photos & had a fantastic time chatting about their next entrepreneurial adventure. Their quirky personalities & happy-go-lucky personalities made our day 🙂 We are so humbled that they changed their wedding date so we could have the privilege of capturing their memories.

Thank you guys for braving the steep hill (CiCi did an awesome job trekking up in her high heels!) and for making us laugh with your jokes about a house-full of kids 🙂 We love fellow foodies and you guys are such easy-going, goofy people that we had a blast hanging out with you & the latest addition to your new family, Penny! Also, after seeing Steve in crutches everytime we met, we’re pleased to see Steve didn’t injure himself during the shoot!

Jenn + Albert :: Trash the Dress

We had the pleasure of shooting Jenn + Albert’s Edmonton wedding back in November 2011; fantastic entertainment, loads of laughter & suited for a rock star from start to end! When they asked us to join them in Hawaii for their ‘mini honeymoon’ and shoot a Trash the Dress session, we couldn’t resist joining them in paradise 🙂

Seeing the sunset on a beach where it was just the 4 of us was a stunningly beautiful ending to an adventurous day (so there was a little bit of trespassing, but it was worth it to get a shot that looked like a still from a Hollywood movie!)

Rita + Anderson :: Engagement

Globetrotters Rita + Anderson have taken loads of self portraits around the world, but we were so pleased to hear how excited they were to shoot with us as we drove from Calgary to Lake Louise. It was a beautiful day & we did a day hike (Rita + Anderson both love sports) with a cool breeze making the trek so much more bearable for us photographers carrying the camera gear 🙂

Rita + Anderson – thank you guys for taking the time to do your engagement photos with us. We had a lot of fun & laughs 🙂 After all that hard work climbing the mountain the s’mores around the camp fire were the perfect ending!

Leanne + Ben :: Featured Wedding

Leanne + Ben are Ontarians who love the outdoors so when it came to planning their wedding, they wanted to take their family + friends somewhere beautiful. The destination – Canmore, Alberta. Married in an outdoor ceremony against a mountain view, nature provided the best decor they could have hoped for, even the weather was perfect! It being Alberta though, once the weather turned to rain, it poured. We loved how Leanne + Ben ran with us to hide from the rain & hail to create such amazing images.

Thank you guys for letting us be a part of your big day, it was such an honour to be shoot your wedding.

My most memorable part was waiting in anticipation by the gazebo during the ceremony to see Leanne walk down the aisle. And taking her hand from her dad’s.Ben

Jenn + Randy :: Featured Engagement

Jenn remembers seeing Randy at various parties & events thrown by mutual friends. Randy doesn’t. It’s not that he was ignoring her, but he was (in his own words) ‘shy and clueless.’ During their friend’s wedding rehearsal, Randy finally noticed Jenn, who was doing a reading. Thanks to the rather hard time given to her by a Church helper, Randy + Jenn’s love story started 🙂

For their engagement session, they came up with the idea of glamorous camping, Glamping, because it combined their love of the finer things in life with a new-found shared love of the outdoors (thanks to Randy, Jenn no longer hates camping). Christina did a fantastic job creating a vintage inspired Glamping camp set & we had a blast immersing ourselves in a pioneering era with Jenn, Randy & their dog Mika.

Jenn + Randy, thank you for all your hard work & making the sandwiches 🙂 A big thanks to Christina & Janine as well for their beautiful work!

Peggy + Colin :: Featured Wedding

We had a blast hanging out with Peggy + Colin for their engagement session & were excited to hear everything they had planned for their wedding. On the day, they exceeded our expectations. Peggy looked like a modern day princess & when she + Colin did a first look, he was wowed by his stunning bride 🙂 It was such a sweet moment that the bridesmaids started tearing up as we watched on in silence.

Even though it rained during their creative shots, we are so impressed by how everyone toughed it out! Huge thanks to Loretta for keeping Peggy’s train from getting wet by crouching behind her while we took shots amongst the cherry blossoms. And a HUGE thanks to Peggy + Colin for organising a candy bar, Rina loved it so much she loaded up 2 bags for herself 🙂 We had an awesome time at your reception & are super impressed by the seriousness of the arm wrestling match on the dance floor!
