One of the harrowing moments in the movie Up! is when Carl and Russell find themselves caught in a serious storm that throws them seemingly off course, only to find, that it brought them exactly where they needed to be. For Linda + Marcus, this held true on their wedding day. The morning rain cleared to afternoon sun so their beautiful outdoor ceremony could go ahead as planned.

It was a beautiful ceremony with their closest family and friends there to celebrate with them. We loved the elegance of the oversized white balloons, a nod to the significance of Up! in their relationship & a reminder of their Up! inspired engagement shoot. We are delighted to be sharing their gorgeous wedding with the readers of Brown Sparrow Wedding.

Linda + Marcus, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day! Everything was so amazing (well done Jennifer Bergman on awesome decor and food!). We are so happy that the weather improved — your outdoor ceremony couldn’t have been more beautiful. And it was great to see everyone, including your aunts and uncles, on the dance floor!

Much love,

~Anthony + Rina Continue reading “Linda + Marcus :: Featured Wedding”

Purple Tulips by Seattle engagement photographers

West coast = questionable weather, but we were lucky with Ada + Henry as the bright blue skies were the perfect foil for the gorgeous tulip fields! A trip to Seattle was the perfect get away for Ada + Henry and even though their drive from Vancouver was annoyingly long at the border (3 hours at border control?!) once they made it through they had a chance to quite literally stop and smell the flowers.

The tulips blanketed the ground, creating a naturally rich tapestry of purples, pinks, yellows, reds. We were blown away by how gorgeous the setting was & couldn’t be happier to have shared it with Ada + Henry.

Ada + Henry — we look forward to shooting your big day this year! Thanks for taking the time to come on a trip with us for your engagement photos! We LOVE your idea of dessert first, dinner later! (Ada was right not to share her lavender vanilla bean ice cream with Henry)

Much love,

~Anthony + Rina

Wouldn’t it be amazing if all days started out so beautiful? Cyndi got ready at her sister Julie’s house (it was great to see Julie + Jon again – we shot their wedding 3 years ago – and meet their adorable son, Carter!). Cyndi’s daughter Kelly was keeping baby sister Sophia entertained and everyone downstairs was trying to keep quiet to avoid disturbing a sleeping Carter upstairs but it was hard to contain their excitement!

Following the door games and tea ceremony, Cyndi + Tuong did a first look. Tuong stood there in nervous excitement as Cyndi walked up behind him. He turned around and seeing his gorgeous bride for the first time brought tears to his eyes.

It was a day of heartfelt emotion and we loved the speeches, especially a special one from their daughter Kelly. She was sooooo excited to see them married. During the speeches, she went up and talked about how happy she was and how she looked forward to hanging out and family vacations together. We were super impressed by how well spoken she was at such a young age!

We are excited to be sharing their gorgeous day with the readers of Xaaza Style.

Cyndi + Tuong, thank you for letting us be part of your special day and it was great to see Julie + Jon again. It’s always a pleasure to see how everyone is doing. Cyndi + Tuong, you guys make beautiful parents and we wish you guys the best in everything you do.

Much love,

~Anthony + Rina

P.S. Anthony is still embarrassed about accidentally stepping on your veil as you were walking down the aisle Cyndi!

We had a blast working with Christina from ID Bohemia for Jenn + Randy’s Glamping engagement shoot and it was great working with her again for this inspired editorial shoot for Wedluxe!

Entitled Forbidden Feast, this editorial shoot captures the temptation of the Garden of Eden and the wares for sale in Christina Rossetti’s narrative poem, Goblin Market. Rich and sumptuous, fruits are intermingled with flowers to create colourful centrepieces. And what better style era than the Jazz Age to complement the explosions of colours, scents and beauty?

View the editorial and full guide on where to source elements from the shoot on wedluxe.com.

Much love,
~Anthony + Rina

Karen + Jacky :: Wedding Teaser

  • Karen + Jacky :: Art Gallery of Alberta wedding photography

Have you ever spotted someone across a crowded room and known, just in that glimpse, that you’d found ‘the one?’ That’s exactly what happened for Jacky. It was his brother Richard’s grad and in one of the photos of Richard and their sister Amy, there, in the background, is Karen. So when Amy asked about Karen, Jacky had a simple reply — you’ve seen her before (he then found the photo on Facebook to prove it).

Within a week of being official Karen had met Jacky’s family. Amy knew her little brother had found the one (she even had a screen grab of the text message to show during her speech). Karen + Jacky are made for each other. They both have quirky personalities and share a cuteness. Their beaming smiles said it all really!

Karen + Jacky, hope you had a fantastic time on your honeymoon!

Love you both!

M + T :: Wedding Teaser

  • Creative Edmonton wedding photography

For M + T their memorable moments brought them back to their past. Whether it was an Uncle & Aunt saying grace before dinner and reminding them of their time in Seattle 6 years ago, or all the residents and attendings from Kingsport doing a video — it was flashbacks that really stood out for them. That and the bride’s brother taking the lip sync battle very seriously and dressing up to lip sync Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!

Much love,
~Anthony + Rina

Karen + Jacky :: Engagement Teaser

  • Karen + Jacky :: Edmonton Engagement Photographers

Karen loves it when Jacky smiles, and when they are together, Jacky beams with laughter and you can see the smile Karen loves. According to Jacky’s sister Amy and brother-in-law Howard, he never smiles unless he’s around Karen. Karen is just a happy go lucky girl and she just exudes happiness around Jacky.

These guys are soooooo cute together. Karen’s voice is so sweet and funny and Jacky’s voice is so nice and calming! It’s awesome!!! Karen has the best expressions as she’s such an animated person. As much as we love happy go lucky people, we were smitten with Jacky. Maybe it’s working as a family doctor that has given his voice such an incredibly soothing tone, but whatever it is, we could listen to him talk about anything all day long!

So looking forward to the big day. Love you both!

Cheers!

Claudia + Steven :: Wedding Teaser

  • Claudia + Steven :: Edmonton Wedding Photography

These love birds knew they were meant for each other in the halls of high school. And 9 years later… they finally tied the knot! Both their parents couldn’t have been happier to see this day happen. It was so sweet seeing Mrs. Lee hug her grown up son so tightly with such happiness and joy 🙂

Such a CUTIE couple. As Claudia’s sister-in-law said “She’s sooooo pretty!!!!!!” It’s true!

Love. You. Always.

Ada + David :: Poetic Experience Teaser

  • Ada + David :: Kelowna wedding photography

Ada + David have always said that Kelowna was their favourite place, and what a place it is! So many beautiful locations, great food, great drinks and great friends. It’s a total paradise and retreat from a busy work life.

It was so much fun hanging out with Ada + David. We got a chance to get to know them a lot more. Ada loves her Korean dramas and David love his hair 🙂 Both are sooo happpy go lucky.

Ada + David, your wedding will be so FABULOUS and it would have been awesome for us to join you guys. Take lots of great pictures. It will be a great wedding!!!!!

Love you both!
Cheers!

Anthony + Rina

P.S. Yes Dave, you are made for this modeling career 🙂
