WHAT HAPPENED!!!??? WHAT REALLY HAPPENED??!!!! Even Jessica and Kevin can’t fill in the blanks. The day went by soooooo fast with so many activities planned that they crashed into bed right after 1am. Don’t worry, your bridal party took REALLY great care of you both 🙂

Karma’s great sometimes! Abel was helping a friend move from Edmonton to Calgary and because of that, he met Karmen 🙂 Cindy, who is now Karmen’s sister-in-law, was also helping that day and set Karmen + Abel up. It took a couple of tries, because Abel didn’t ask for Karmen’s phone number on their first meeting, but helpfully Cindy was able to pass it on (after getting the ok from Karmen that is).
With a 2-part ‘how we met’ story, it seemed fitting to have a 2-part engagement session 🙂 This is part one; a sunset walk through the tall grass. Part two is a Rocky Mountain get away for ice hockey inspired engagement photos!
I have to admit I was blown away when you guys were shooting Karmen, just looking at her with the sun and light just glowing around her, made me think….”I’m a lucky guy, don’t screw it up”. Â I have to laugh as it was pretty funny to barely see Anton “paparazzi” us in the long grass and in the trees. Â Stalker much? – Abel

We are so excited for Jessica + Kevin’s wedding this weekend! And the latest edition of real weddings British Columbia, with Jessica + Kevin featured on the Marry Me page spread is perfectly timed to coincide! They’re such a cute, goofy couple! It’s hard to believe it was last year that we were enjoying the foodie awesomeness of Vancouver with these two love birds.

Chris Angel!!! As Angel + Chris said their vows on the beach, spectators enjoying the ceremony from their patios shouted down ‘Chris Angel’ – a nod to the the magician/hypnotist Chris Angel. There was definitely some magic in the air because the weather was absolutely perfect! The slight overcast made the heat bearable 🙂
A destination wedding suited Angel + Chris perfectly as they have such busy lives. They decided Mexico was the way to go. Their family and friends agreed, flying in from Canada and Hong Kong to share their big day with them.
Angel + Chris – thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! A big thanks to Emily and Ben for helping us out with some of our equipment and gear 🙂 Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip with family and friends!

Jessica + Kevin are soooo cute! They’re one of the goofiest couples we have met so far! Kevin just makes us laugh out loud 🙂 Fellow foodies, we had a blast hanging out with them in Vancouver for their engagement photos. The weather was a bit grey at times but thankfully there was no rain and the fish and chips kept our tummies happy 🙂

Happy 2nd Anniversary Angela + Michael! We can’t believe it was 2 years ago today that Michael was making funny faces to Angela as she was walking down the aisle 🙂
For us, the highlight was the thank you speeches during the reception. Michael’s freestyle speech was so touching! But it was Angela’s speech and surprise for Michael, a video message from his parents (his parents weren’t able to attend as their visas weren’t processed in time in China) that really, really touched us. Rina kept on shooting while her tears fell on the camera screen.
Angela + Michael, thank you so much for including us in your wedding day! It was awesome to see everyone party the night away 🙂 Angela, your wedding planning transformed the Oasis Conference Centre into an even more gorgeous venue! You guys were so kind to us; opening your home, providing us with awesome food and entertainment courtesy of all the Nemos in your fish tank! We are so lucky to have made such great friends 🙂

Oh, Chemistry. Melissa + Dan had a Chemistry class together in High School (which Dan and their mutual friend Nina remember, Melissa does not) but it wasn’t until Dan messaged her on Facebook years later that they found out they had, well, chemistry!
Various friends of Melissa’s are now taking credit for setting them up and after seeing the love between Melissa, Dan and their daughter Ella it’s easy to see why! Their wedding day celebrated not just their love story, but the love they’ve grown with the addition of Ella 🙂 We are thrilled to be sharing their inspirational wedding with the readers of WedLoft.
With the unpredictable Canmore weather, they couldn’t get married outside but the floor to ceiling windows meant everyone could enjoy the scenic Mountain views while staying warm and dry (yes, it rained!). With the help of family and Etsy (Mel loves Etsy!), the indoor space was transformed and had a gorgeous rustic feel that was exactly what Mel wanted for her wedding day. Fortunately there were some (literal) rays of light during the day and we were able to have fun with the bridal party outdoors for creatives.
Mel + Dan (and Ella!) thank you for including us in your big day! It was great to see everyone partying it up on the dance floor and we loved all your personal touches 🙂
